PARENTING IS A MINISTRY!
A parents job is 24-7. I rely on the Lord to give me instructions on how to raise his precious (kingdom) leader-servant for the next generation.
EACH CHILD'S PURPOSE IS VERY IMPORTANT TO THE LORD - I ALWAYS TRY TO SEE THE LORD'S PERSPECTIVE AS I WALK THIS LIFE - NOT JUST MY OWN.
Personally, I have always seen my responsibility as the temporary guardian - God being the true Parent of our children, they are on loan to us until they reach the age of full accountability (graduation from high school) to live their own lives to be a witness for the Lord.
Being consistent, truthful and a model believer (being real with our kids too about our own failures and strengths always allowing the Holy Spirit to do a great work in all of us in all situations we face).
With children this works wonders it gives fruitful results. No matter how long it takes - the fruit of your "guardian" labors SHOW UP LOUD AND CLEAR!
